I was going to wait until March to start studying WWII, but we have tickets to The Journal of Ben Uchida: Citizen 13559 this month at Seattle Children’s Theater. I want the boys to understand a bit more about this time when they see the play. I was able to pull a few books from my list at the library and thought maybe we would start by watching Pearl Harbor. We are just jumping in. This is what works best for us anyway, over planning tends to make things too complicated and stressful. The lessons go best when we just sit down and start reading together, we usually start researching and learning more together from there. It will all be good… (repeat to self)… it will all be good.
