This summer we are taking some tips from Laura and enjoying the simpler things life has to offer- a walk by the river, playing in the yard, time together, and some delicious food.

We started by making fresh, whole wheat bread and churning butter to have with dinner. We all loved it so much, that we finished what was left for breakfast. I think I need to make more soon- like in the AM. YUM!!!
We spent the next morning at the library and then headed to Bothell Landing for some frontier fun. We visited the museums from the early days of Bothell- the first school house, a log cabin, and a house from the 19th century. The boys were mildly impressed. I think they preferred the bread and butter.

Then we went for a walk by the river, stopping for a bit to enjoy the ducks.

We finished the day with burgers and shakes at the Ranch Inn- another historic site in Bothell, with great food!!!
