Work Samples

I have been trying to figure out a way to organize yearly work samples. Of course, I turned to Pinterest. There were many great ideas- but as with all organizational ideas, there is no one size fits all. It would be great if all work samples were on letter size paper, clearly they are not. I eventually just picked something to start with.

This is it.

I used legal sized folders. Some bigger projects and presentations can fit between the folders. I have decided if something is too big and I really want to include it- I will use a picture to file. Each year, as Chase’s work grows, I weed out older things that are not as important. In the end I hope to have one or two projects (and maybe a couple of math tests) on file for each primary grade, making more space for high school work.

I hope someday this will be a nice way for them to look back on some of the projects they put the most work in to or things they really enjoyed doing. They are free to throw it out at that point.

For now, this is for me. These are my treasures. And it makes it much easier to work within the district guidelines. Which is a whole other post in itself.
