Chase is loving Science and Social Studies. So, I am trying to mix Language Arts into those subjects as much as possible. Today we read “Moon”. It is a book from the Jump Into Science series- I love these books! The information and pictures are brilliantly laid out. There is a mini exercise in the back of the book for kids to do, it shows them the impact a meteor has on the moon’s surface. And, they had fun throwing rocks in the flour.
After we were done, we made a Fact Web about the moon. Chase came up with each fact himself. I think he now knows as much about the moon as I ever have.
