SCIENCE: Science is pretty much up in the air. We are all over the place- a little here, a little there. For the most part science is just fun. Lots of toys and gadgets. And that is how we will keep it for now- project based. Little Bits have by far been the coolest part of it.
HISTORY: We finished SOTW Ancient Times in January. I was going to take a break and wait until summer or fall to start SOTW The Middle Ages, but Chase didn’t want to. So, here we go again…
And we could NOT go forward without The Magic Tree House. Many of the books have tied in with SOTW, which is great and helps to keep Chase interested.
LANGUAGE ARTS: We breezed through Level 1 of First Language Lessons, so on to Level 2.
These are a few books we have chosen to accompany our curriculum.
As much as I love the idea of listing every resource we use or even just our favorites, it would be next to impossible. We use so many websites, homeschooling websites (which are quite lovely and put together by Moms much more creative than myself), educational websites, PINTEREST!!! The list is endless and when it comes down to it, I have Google to thank for it. There is nothing you can not google, no project or worksheet left unfound- on any topic you choose. At one point, I made a post on this blog listing my favorite sites. I think I deleted it. It was was too hard, there were too many! And, I hate to give credit to any one more than another. So many great resources and I am so thankful to the Mom’s and Teachers that share their wonderful resources and ideas. I am thankful to the Science and History geeks that have basically built online classrooms that I can get lost in for hours- literally hours. I am a documentary junkie!!!!
MATH: We love Math U See!!! It’s relaxing and fun! We are having a blast with it!
