Narbeck Wetland Sanctuary

This is our first outing for our new science curriculum.  Our goal is to embrace and observe nature to gain a better understanding and respect for it.  Every week (now that the sun is shining more regularly) we will venture out in to uncharted (actually, very charted) territories.  I loved how much the boys took in today.  Chase was taking pictures, examining tree trunks, and sitting quietly to observe wildlife.

This turned out to be a perfect hike. We walked through the middle of the sanctuary, then the perimeter of the park. The perimeter is about a mile and a half around, there were enough points of interest that the boys were never bored- they always found something to snoop around. A prefect day!!!
